Soul Togetherness - Various - Expansion UK

This is a magnificent album covering gems played at Togetherness and other top 'Modern' rooms. Tracks from the 70's through to now and some previously hard to obtain. 4 short sides of vinyl or CD.

Side a kicks of with the ever popular and in demand Ivan Matias - Somebody knows how you feel, previously only available on Japanese import. The Tower of Power gem - It doesn't really matter and Manhattans - I don't want to pay the price of losing you.

Side b - Gene Chandler - let me make love to you, one of those Modern tunes that have 'crossed over' to the Northern rooms, Patterson Twins - I need your love, Wizdom - I'm so in love with you, which is brilliant and Gladys Knight and the Pips - Baby don't waste my time.

Side c - Leon Debouse (The French connection on this site might tell you what this means!) - Every Fellas girl, Derrick Hughes - All for love, Maysa Leak - Compliments, as you will be starting to appreciate I love this type of groove and Kashif - Bed you down.

Side d contains the magnificent Dee Edwards - deal with that- from Detroit, followed by Gwen McCrae - Lead me on-from 1972, Chicago's Edee - Make it last and Chi-lites - Try my side (of love) an 80's remix of an earlier cut.

The notes say this is going to be an annual series. I could do with one of these every month!!!!
