This is an excellent video taking you through the birth, life and growth of the Ruff Ryders and the Ryder ethic. From the beginnings, the street, the ideals, the dreams and the realities through to the lifestyle, the extreme, and the concept, image, and ahead.

Some hard hitting scenes , but whilst hard, the essence is good and fun. The whole project is covered right from the CEO's Dee and Waah, the artists starting with DMX and Lox from 1988, the management, the president, the producers and the staff.

Each one is enhanced with pictures and interviews in a documentary style and laden with the Ryders beats and rhymes. Despite possible images the whole thing is one professional corporate structure but retaining it's street ideals. The videos are excellent, there is an element of typical hip hop images, the MTV ness if you like, but there is a whole lot more, a rality to the whole thing.

Artist wise the beats are consistent and original, varied from Hip hop trough R'n'B, male and female. The complete roster is on show but for a soul head like me it's Parle.
