Marcus Miller has a pretty distinctive bass style and this live set does him full justice. Funky, bass heavy jazzy items all put together with fine musicianship and feeling.

If such funky jazz is your bag then this is for you. Cut live in Germany nearly 10 years ago now but still sounds fresh and supremely proficient. The band gels together well and all the players get the opportunity to profile and excel. An hour of good music, mostly pretty mellow with some excellent sax work by Kenny Garrett and some fine keyboards from 'Nard Wright. Builds to a freestyling crescendo on Scoop and then mellows back down and into a funky finale on Ju Ju.
