Trojan Jamaica Box Set TJETD199

Sadly I have to say that most of this is not very good, save for a few tunes that happen to be the most well known, and a few Independence song. Such that 50 songs of this ilk can be found is testament to Jamaica I suppose, but some of these box sets are becoming a bit of a joke.  They started of being not only very good but very good value too, but the subject matter of recent compilations leaves much to be desired.

Even being a sucker for vocal hharmony groups even some of these fall short.  Sorry but for completists only.

Various Artists: Trojan Jamaica Box Set (TJETD199)

Format: Treble CD album
Released: Aug 23 2004
Availability: In stock: immediate despatch
Price: £12.99

The release of the Trojan Jamaica Box Set follows the highly successful 'Independent Jamaica' that included tributes to that little paradise in the West Indies. While Jamaica is only the third largest island in the Caribbean, the musical influence of the 'Land Of Springs' has totally eclipsed that of its neighbours and led to a sense of pride among the islanders. This box set demonstrates that pride experienced by all Jamaicans whether at home or abroad.
