Incognito - Who needs Love (Dome Album Sampler)

This album previously only available on a Japanese, and now shortly available on Dome, with some UK dates at the Jazz Cafe to follow. Dome are justifiably excited about this release, and we hopefully will be getting more reaction and information from Bluey very shortly.

In the meantime our tastebuds have been tickled with this sampler.

Astonishingly Incognito have been going for over 20 years, and still the material is fresh and relevant, non compromising and interesting, textured and mature. Guest vocalists this time are Joy Rose, Keli Sae, Joy Malcolm, Tony Momrelle, Ed Motta, Xavier Barnett.

Where Love shines, with Keli is upbeat, very Incognito, hitting the dance floors up and down right now, sweet vocals and is very good indeed. Joy Rose features on Can't get you out of my head with a jazzier vocal, but very current in it's soul styling, Laid back and very fine.

People at the top is one of my favorites, Keli again, opening bongos and laid back guitar, this is very Curtis Mayfield. Wonderfully mellow. Back to Joy Rose on the funky and upbeat Morning Sun.

Joy Malcolm also returns to the Incognito fold and is featured on the jazz piano led Stone Cold Heart and then on If you want my love where she is more mellow. Blue sees Keli in a different mood again.

Also some Brazilian beats to come with Ed Motta and Paul Weller is featured as well.

An album that will rank among the best of Incognitos work, still moving forward and ever relevant in todays market place. You listen to an Incognito album take it in and love it. You listen again and you hear more and love it more and grow with it, and then again some.
