Eminem – Hitz and Disses (Unauthorised) - WNRD 2102

It doesn't bode too well when the initial slide on this dvd states that it does not contain any of Eminem's music. It is of course unauthorised. It does contain some similar beats as backing music.

However the package is moderately interesting as some background material to Eminem and more particularly the embryonic days of Detroit Hip Hop.

As regards Eminem it is built around one interview and not a particularly long one. The rest is made up of individuals of varying degrees who put Eminem on his path and how success eventually came. From School days and workmates in one of his jobs to Lisa Lisa of local radio station WDRQ and MattChill.

In a sense this is probably more interesting than it would have been if Corporate Eminem or Corporate Dre were sound bitten, you get my drift.

Probably only for the connoisseur, not necessarily of Eminem but of the Hip Hop scene just prior to when Em burst onto the scene.

It's all pretty undemanding but does contain some pieces of interest. Musically (sic) the DVD includes some Freestyles by Eminem fans as they queue to get into an Eminem concert. Therefore of variable competence!
