Wallace Roney - No room for argument - Stretch Records

Wallace Roney - More information - Wallace Roney

Continuing in a jazzy vibe, but this is altogther harder in a freestyle kind of way mixed with some hip hopstyle beats. The first track 'No Room for Argument' sampling Martin Luther King is a awesome and moody . The album overseen by Chick Corea and clearly a lot of thought and ideas come through on this both musically and otherwise with samples of Malcolm X, Martin Luther King, Deepak Chopra and Marcus Garvey .

Homage and Acknowledgement is extremely clever mixing and merging Miles Davis and John Coltrane.

Tempos and melodies, beats and styles, influences and originalities all mix together on this whether in the moody Christina or the uptempo Metropolis or the funk of CyGroove to the steppin' Virtual Chocolate Cherry'. The latter track is one I particularly like.

I have to say that this style is not something that I regularly listen to but I enjoyed this immensely.
