Sean Escoffery - Louisianna Bristol - 4 February 2002

Saw Sean Escoffery last night at a small venue, small audience gig.

He and his band were excellent - he really does have a good voice and this came over particularly well on the slower tunes. A couple of the tracks went a bit too 'rock - y' for me but it was good to see him in
this 'intimate' atmosphere. I doubt that he was too pleased because he had been relegated to a smaller venue at the last minute - amid some rumours of cancellation - presumably on the strength of poor advance
sales.

Nonetheless he seemed happy enough and didn't let this get in his way. If you get the chance definitely worth a look.
