Released on 24 November 2003. -
Bringing together 4 hot artists in a Rasta Party, deejays Sizzla and Anthony B and vocalists Luciano and Mikey general
As is my want it is the vocalists that I will go to first, partly because if Reggae is to go big time once more it will be driven by this rather than something more dancehall orientated. Luciano could be the one to take it there, he has all the credentials as he kicks of this party set in Marley stylee. Enough is enough is however a better song more melodic both in rhythm and vocal styling. Closing his set with the jazzy intro'd This is the time, a slow soulful ballad, with barely a hint of Jamaica - great track that could go Soul wise, it's slow but it has that anthemic quality, complete with old skool rap.
One of the problems with modern production techniques is that it takes away the warmth and depth of a production, and is far too clinical. Mikey General however manages to maintain or retain these capacities giving it a feel of older material . Bless the stress and Love and mercy particularly have a mellow rootsy commercial appeal.
Of the two DJ's Anthony B clinches it for me with a slower, more old skool delivery. Both kick up a storm hardcore style, conscious dancehall. Wrong a Wrong is the best of Anthony B and Sizzla with props to Studio One Be strong,
